The Final Planning Conference of the CASCADE’19 exercise was held on April 23, in Ílhavo, at the Auditorium of the Maritime Museum, with the participation of several of national entities and the EU participating teams. The meeting was followed by a visit to some of the scenarios of the district of Aveiro, in the Port of Aveiro and in Sever do Vouga. In this district, there will be complex emergencies as a result of adverse weather conditions such as heavy rains. It will accommodate a total of 13 different scenarios, 4 of which are level III, ie comprising local, national and international forces from Germany, Belgium and France, as well as a vessel of the European Maritime Safety Agency.
